The O-Shot® is a non-surgical treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) prepared from your own blood. PRP contains concentrated platelets and growth factors that are being studied for their potential to support tissue healing and regeneration.
If you're interested in exploring non-surgical options for intimate wellness, our experienced providers offer private consultations to discuss your symptoms, goals, and whether the O-Shot may be appropriate for you.
What Is the O-Shot®?
The O-Shot is an in-office procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from a small sample of your own blood.
After your blood is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, the PRP is carefully injected into specific areas of vaginal tissue following the application of a topical anesthetic or local numbing medication.
Because the treatment uses your own blood components, there is no risk of allergic reaction to the PRP itself.
Who May Be a Candidate?
You may be a candidate if you:
Are experiencing age- or hormone-related intimate wellness concerns
Prefer a non-surgical treatment option
Are in generally good health
Have realistic expectations about potential outcomes
The O-Shot may not be appropriate for everyone. Certain medical conditions, bleeding disorders, active infections, pregnancy, or medications may affect your eligibility.
A comprehensive consultation is the best way to determine whether this treatment is right for you.
How Does PRP Work?
Platelet-rich plasma contains concentrated platelets and naturally occurring growth factors involved in the body's healing processes.
The goal of PRP therapy is to support the body's natural tissue repair mechanisms. Researchers continue to study how PRP may affect vaginal tissue health and function, but outcomes can differ from person to person.
Your provider will discuss what is currently known about the treatment, its potential benefits, and its limitations so you can make an informed decision.
